Privacy Policy
The short version. Juzoor does not ask for your name, email, or phone number. We store only your game progress (levels, XP, streaks, stats, and settings) so it can be saved and restored across your devices. This is tied to an anonymous, randomly generated account identifier — never to your real identity. Juzoor shows optional rewarded ads through Google AdMob, which collects your device's advertising ID, IP address (used to estimate an approximate location), ad interactions, and performance diagnostics to serve and measure them. We never ask for or read your device's location. We do not use other analytics or tracking SDKs, and we do not sell your data.
This Privacy Policy explains what information the Juzoor mobile application ("Juzoor", "the app", "we", "us") collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. We built Juzoor to be playable without an account and without collecting your name, email, or any information that identifies you personally. Juzoor does show optional rewarded ads through Google AdMob, which is described in Section 3.
1. Information we collect
a. Gameplay and settings data
To save your progress, the app stores the following on your device and syncs it to our cloud backend:
- Your campaign progress and current/highest level
- Experience points (XP), player level, hints, and lives
- Daily Challenge progress, win streaks, and gameplay statistics (e.g. puzzles completed, best time)
- Your in-app preferences (language, sound, haptics, notification setting, text size)
This data is about the game only. It contains no personal or contact information.
b. Anonymous account identifier
To sync your progress across sessions and devices, the app automatically creates an anonymous account using our backend provider (Supabase). This account is a randomly generated identifier stored on your device. It is not linked to your name, email address, phone number, or any social login. You are never asked to sign in or register.
c. Advertising identifier
Juzoor shows rewarded ads through Google AdMob. To serve and measure these ads, Google and its partners collect your device's advertising ID and related information (such as general device and usage data, app and ad interactions, and technical performance diagnostics). This includes your IP address, from which Google may estimate your approximate location (for example, the city or region you are in). Juzoor itself never asks for or accesses your device's location. When you choose to watch a rewarded ad, we also pass your anonymous account identifier (Section 1b) to Google so that the reward can be verified and credited to your game — see Sections 3 and 6.
d. Information we do not collect
- No name, email address, or phone number
- No precise location, and no location permission — Juzoor never requests or reads your device's location. (Google AdMob may estimate an approximate location from your IP address to serve ads, as described in Sections 1c and 3.)
- No contacts, photos, camera, or microphone access
- No analytics or behavioral-tracking SDKs, other than the Google AdMob advertising service described in Section 3
2. How we use information
- To save your game progress and restore it when you reopen or reinstall the app
- To sync your progress across your devices
- To operate core features such as the Daily Challenge, Daily Tasks, and lives system
- To show and measure the optional rewarded ads described in Section 3
- To send local reminders you have enabled (see Notifications below)
We use the advertising ID only to serve and measure the optional rewarded ads. We do not use your information for profiling or sale to third parties.
3. Advertising
Juzoor shows optional rewarded video ads through Google AdMob. You choose whether to watch an ad (for example, to earn a hint or an extra life); ads are never forced on you. To serve and measure these ads, Google and its partners may collect and use your device's advertising ID, your IP address (from which an approximate location may be estimated), your interactions with the app and with ads, and technical performance diagnostics. Google uses this data for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention and security. Note that the Google Mobile Ads SDK starts when the app launches, so some of this data is collected even if you never choose to watch an ad. Google's use of this data is governed by the Google Advertising and Google Privacy policies.
Where required (for example, in the EEA and the UK), we ask for your consent before personalized ads are shown, using Google's consent mechanism. You can reset or limit ad tracking at any time in your device settings (on Android: Settings → Google → Ads).
4. Notifications
If you enable notifications, Juzoor schedules local reminders on your device (for example, a daily play reminder and alerts when your lives have refilled). These are generated on your device; we do not operate a push-messaging server to send them. You can turn notifications off at any time in the app's Settings or in your device settings.
5. Data storage and processing
Gameplay data is stored locally on your device and in a database hosted by Supabase, our backend and hosting provider, acting on our behalf. Data is protected in transit using encryption (HTTPS/TLS), and access is restricted so that each anonymous account can only read and write its own row (via database Row-Level Security). Data may be stored on servers located outside your country; by using the app you consent to this transfer and processing.
6. Data sharing
We do not sell your data. We share data only with:
- Supabase, solely to host and store your anonymous game progress on our behalf.
- Google AdMob, which receives your advertising ID, IP address (and the approximate location estimated from it), app and ad interactions, and technical diagnostics, to serve and measure the rewarded ads described in Section 3. When you watch a rewarded ad, Google also receives your anonymous account identifier so that the reward can be verified and credited to the right game profile; it is not used to identify you or to target ads.
- Legal authorities, if required to comply with applicable law or a valid legal request.
7. Data retention and deletion
We keep your gameplay data for as long as your anonymous account exists so your progress is available to you. You can remove your data in the following ways:
- Local data: uninstalling the app, or clearing the app's storage in your device settings, removes the copy stored on your device.
- Cloud data: to request deletion of the progress associated with your anonymous account, contact us at the email below and we will delete it.
Because accounts are anonymous, we cannot identify you personally; deletion requests are handled on a best-effort basis using information you provide to help us locate the record.
8. Children's privacy
Juzoor is a general-audience word game and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app collects no personal information and does not profile users; the optional ads shown through Google AdMob are configured for a general audience.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete the data associated with your account, or to object to or restrict certain processing. Because Juzoor stores no personal identifiers, the primary way to exercise these rights is to delete your data as described in Section 7, to reset or limit your advertising ID in your device settings, or to contact us using the details below.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — for example, if we add new features. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and post the new version at this URL. Material changes will be reflected here; your continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
